Soundtrap, the first Playwerk project, is a web-based, user friendly recording and collaboration studio. It makes it easier and quicker to make recordings, produce music and share it with the world. Thereby a vast new market will open up among musicians who are not technically skilled and/or who want a quicker and more social recording tool. The main customers are amateur and professional musicians, and singer-songwriters (B2C). The basic business model is subscription. A B2B or B2B2C model will be added in the fall of 2014 for music schools and record companies (artist promotion). In addition, a micro task market for musicians will be implemented. Soundtrap is now (August 2014) in public beta. There are 13,000+ registered users. There are at least 200 million potential users on Facebook alone, who are reachable by advertising.
